Bring a charger breakfast and lunch and headphones you will be there alllllllllllllllllll ddddddaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy I've totalled 8 hours in 2 different days and didn't get seen. Doesn't help that all the branch medicals in the area are also trash but this is the hub of trash ......****update****** all the times I was seen there nothing was ever put in my record so here I am going through the VA for my retirement and there is absolutely nothing of my visits
My experience at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth has been great overall. I understand that the ER can get very busy, just like any hospital, but I wanted to give a special shout-out to Dr. Reed from Orthopedics, her apprentice, and Dr. Nguyen from Pain Management. I’m honestly not a fan of needles, so I really appreciate the care and professionalism they’ve shown me. Dr. Reed has always taken great care of me during my knee injections. ⭐️⭐️ Only giving two stars because a few of the staff members were genuinely kind and helpful. Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing. I asked the front desk staff member a question, and instead of helping me, she waved me away and told me to look on the hospital’s website. I found her response dismissive and unprofessional. The doctor was also not pleasant to interact with. She spoke to me in a condescending manner, as though I were a child, and only spent about five minutes in the room with me. I left ... read more
Any emergency room is a wait… but the care was fabulous.
I was worried based off of the 2 star review rating but the staff here was so nice to me and made sure that I was taken care of. They offered me a wheelchair due to my symptoms and my name was called in just less than 10 minutes of me checking in. Thank you staff
