This is a MILITARY BASE. Of course you can't have taxis coming in. You have to have military identification. Don't be ridiculous and especially during these times.
You are not allowed on the base if you are in a taxi. You have to find a Uber or some other vehicle to get on the base for shopping or walk over a mile each way to the NEX. So hope you are not retired military visiting New Orleans without your personal vehicle with the sticker on it.
