I was stationed there in early 2009- to late 2011 before they finished building the new gym/fitness complex. I do miss the old gym that was knocked down with the trailer next door. Last time I was there was in 2014 and the galley was closed. I did hear from a current active duty guy I know that the galley did re-open years later. To me, this base is just about perfect for where it is and what it offers. The old school slimy water is finally gone!
Very nice base. 100% military ID check at gate. Cool airplanes by the entrance.
My father and mother use to live in Fallon Nevada the years 1982 to 2007 and 2011 both parents passed away. Terry Joseph Hering February 11, 2007 passed away my daddy. And Estherluz Anilao Hering passed away november 3, 2011 my mother. Live in Fallon for a very very long time from loving son Gerald James Hering. Miss both my parents. R.I.P. MOTHER AND DADDY. LOVING SON GERALD JAMES HERING.
