Veggie Extraordinaire – This is the best vegetarian restaurant anywhere. Virtually everything is vegetarian, unlike many restaurants which bill themselves as "vegetarian," but only have a few pasta dishes on the menu. The chef is a wizard with seitan, the presentation is gorgeous, and the staff is attentive. There are vegan selections on the menu as well.
Absolute BEST Veg Anywhere – The originality and freshness of the food is wonderful. This is much better than the ethnic (Chinese & Indian, etc) veg in town.I was brought up going to veg restuarants in NY in the 50's and 60's and nothing in NY now and certainly in the Tri-State area holds a candle to the Horizon. The fact that the owner/chef is now giving cooking lessons and considering writing a cookbook is an added plus. NEVER go on a Friday or Saturday evening without reservations though. Great Value too.
