I took two pairs of blue jeans in to be shortened. Straight stitch. Nothing fancy. A good seamstress could do this in less than 30 minutes. My tab after tax was $50 which I thought was ridiculous given the easiness of the job. I'm glad I didn't want cuffs put on the jeans.
I brought my daughters wedding dress in for cleaning two days after her wedding to ensure the stains could be taken out along with getting the dress/veil placed in an airtight keepsake box all what they said they offered. It was picked up and when I looked at it about three weeks later I noticed the box/lid was off so I moved it and came to find out the dress/veil was not in an airtight compartment.
