We enjoyed this lift, which took us up to the top of the ridge where we could hike a variety of short trails to get good views of Natural Bridge and the surrounding area, walk on top of the arch itself, or go down some steps and through a narrow passage to get under it. Beautiful area. The lift itself takes about 20 mins or so one way. Easy, comfortable ride.
Forget the hiking trails; the real adventure at Natural Bridge State Resort Park is submitting yourself to the Sky Lift. It's not just transportation; it's a 15-minute existential crisis in a brightly colored aluminum basket, and it is hysterical. They call it a "sky lift," but what they really mean is "a gentle-looking metal contraption that was engineered sometime before the invention of seatbelts." Fun experience! Probably wouldn't be for someone that is scared of heights. The view once you get up there is beautiful.
So cool! Skylift is peaceful and beautiful. The natural bridge is impressive but make sure you go down to the bottom level, it's worth it.
