On 8/1/2023 we experienced an upright freezer that was not operating correctly. To avoid the loss of all the freezer contents we immediately purchased a new unit that morning. As we have a rider on our Nationwide policy that covers household appliance failures we contacted Stern Insurance Agency. They assisted at that point in getting a claim opened with one of their insurance adjustors. Normal protocol is for a licensed appliance repair person to diagnose the reason for unit failure.
