NYS definitely offers more options and has been around longer...but USFLL has some great coaches and the coolest uniforms and website...As a sports photographer in Las Vegas I have been on the sidelines for both leagues...I have observed that it doesnt matter what league you are in...both have strengths and weaknesses...what matters most is the specific team or coach you are with. Forget about stacked teams, winning and loosing, and rule changes...Choose a coach that sets a good example for the kids...I have heard way too mu... read more

BEWARE the BAIT and SWITCH. In June 2008 the NYS website had rules posted that promised mandatory play-5 snaps per half- for 11man tackle football. The website posted a Mandatory Play Sheet that let teams track the 5 snap rule. The registration form promised 5 snaps per half and required COACHES to attend a mandatory meeting in August. We paid the registration fee and got ID cards before June 21st. The coach started practices and ordered gear in July. In August after the COACHES meeting, the coach announced that there was no... read more

We just moved to Las Vegas, and we wanted to put our kids into some sort of activity. We here about NYS, so we sign our 2 kids up to play flag football at NYS. My kids love it!!! They have made some new friends that they may not have ever had the chance of meeting being new to the city. I am happy that we have found something they want to do other than play the playstation. The league is great and staff is curtious. Thanks NYS for making the transition easy for my 2 boys.

I have 2 children that are currently playing for NYS.I used their website to register my kids online. The staff is friendly and helpful. The uniforms are really cute and inexpensive. I am happy to have found a league that is both economical and organized. My kids are having a great time playing for NYS and we are looking forward to next season.

My 3 sons, ages from 8, 12 and 13 have played in almost every program in town. I agree the USFLL has its flaws, and Ill leave it at that. For competitive youth football SNYSA "Middle School football" is bar none the best. *Select teams from specific zip codes, with only 5 zone variances per team. *No weight limits. *14 to 16 teams every season. (And growing)*And now they even have a E division, for the lil guys. (This is a perfect program for the super competitive!) 2 of my boys love it! On the flip side, my middle son hasnt... read more

NYS is great program to get your kids intorduced to sports at a younge age. My son has been playing soccer for year and half now with their organization and he loves it. NYS has a variety of different sports to offer starting at age three. We will continue to enroll our child in the NYS program for many seasons to come.
