After years of doing my parents' taxes, the preparer chose not to record expenses to offset their small business income. Not even sales tax expense. He is negligent and basically said he was retiring and didn't want to do their taxes, even to fix that mistake. My parents thought he was a CPA, but he doesn't even have an accounting degree. He was only a certified tax preparer. We are amending, at our own expense and do NOT recommend them.
