I am very pleased with my expereince with NSM. From communication wwith corporate to dealing with the branch office here in Redding, they were great! Eric at the front desk was very professional and courteous both in person and on the phone. The gal who handled my insurance was even able to make things work when I wasn't sure if my insurance would cover one of the upgrades I wanted. We have dealt with the people with National Seating and Mobility since our daughter was 5 years old. She is now 43 years old and we still think they are really awesome people. They are like family because they really care and will go that extra mile to help us in any way at any time . I have worked with Brennan and Debbie for probably 15-18 years at least. My son is multiply handicapped and uses a custom wheelchair. He is 31 and lives in a group home. Over this time frame they have been able to get us in at a moment's notice due to the urgency of not having another chair available. Even when we had another chair as a backup and the urgency was not there, National Seating and Mobility did their best to fix whatever was broken or order in a replacement. I have also found this company to be very frustrating to work with. I have a power wheelchair that needs parts periodically. The last time I needed a new battery, it took over 4 months for the battery to come in. They kept telling me that my doctor was not signing the order. However, when I contacted my doctor, he told me that he had not received anything. We recently moved to the area from another state. We've had nothing but problems with this company. They take forever to do any work on my son's chair, then mess it up when they do finally repair it. They won't answer their phones or return messages promptly either. They said they'd call me as soon as his chair was ready. I called them an hour after they said it would be done and they said it had been ready for awhile, but they had gotten distracted and forgotten to call. I am horrified about how this company has handled themselves. A year ago my father was diagnosed with ALS and Brennan sold my parents a mobility chair. He told them their insurance would cover the chair completely. When the chair finally came it was not functioning properly, they came out to look at it and took the seat and some other parts to fix, after months of a brand new unusable chair my father finally passed away before they even fixed it. To: All Managers My experience with the employee was horrific! I spoke with a young guy to help me with my scooter and all he talked about was traffic problems, and other personal unprofessional information I did not care to hear. Mr. Joel Perez made all kinds of excuses as to why could not return my call after more than four times I called him.
