On Nov. 21, 2023 I received a phone call asking for a donation to your organization. At first the man said they would send me some information via mail and I could donate after receiving the material. However, soon he requested that I give a donation that day on the phone. I shouldn't have done that, but I did give $25. Since then I have received 53 calls during the next 36 days--and still counting! You must have sold my number to other organizations like for the firemen and first responders, which I also do not appreci... read more

I am a professional fund raiser and I get the same call from the same man every few months. Amusingly it comes from a Martha's Vineyard number where I am very familiar with fund raising. As a pro, I started to ask a few questions, slowly, and encouraged him to tell me about where the money actually goes....Bottom line, it's a scam-the Owner and chief scammer is Samuel A Cabral based in Florida. Millions raised-nice scam if you will... Almost no money goes to police or law enforcement. If you want to waste more time, look at ... read more

The caller asked me if the NPTA were to send me an envelope, would I send them $25, $35 or $50 and I said sure, $25. They transferred the call to “verify my address,” but instead of asking for my address, this person pressed me to donate over the phone via credit card. I refused, and they said they’d send the pledge card in the mail, but I was urged to return my payment promptly. So cheeky. And now I’m reading reviews that say almost 90% of the money raised goes to keep the organization running. I am not going to honor my pl... read more

Rude callers expecting immediate donations. They do not listen to anything said. This cannot be a legitimate organization and if it is should go out of business immediately. I wish I could leave 0 stars.

I am a retired schoolteacher and my husband a retired 20-year brass police officer. Like the others, I got a call requesting a donation for police officer's needs. With our history, I felt compelled to help in spite of our local donations of money and work. Caller wanted a credit card. As odd as it sounds, I do NOT have even one credit card or a debit number. Caller was insistent that my information would be protected. I was not completely taken and requested information about their organization so I could read and research ... read more

I thought I was being nice and made a donation to the National Police and Troopers Association. They then sold my information to 100’s if other fake nonprofits who call me multiple times per day to harass me for donations. The new calls I get are from organizations such as- National Fire Fighter Fund Coalition of Police of America American Veterans Support Group And others. DON’T MAKE any donations to National Police and Troopers Association unless you want to be spammed with phone calls all day and night.
