I went in to ask about engraving a niche, he gave me the runaround told me I couldn’t put a picture on there because I’m at a city cemetery and was just not professional or cared for my business. Was overpriced and the wait was too long. Would not recommend this company at all. 👎🏼 would recommend Sweet dreams Memorial instead. And I got my picture

Most types of grave markers have an option for a larger size to make them into companion markers. These allow you to honor the lives of more than one person, such as a husband and wife. Alternately, you can choose a pair of flat markers that are placed next to each other to form a larger one.

When dealing with a deteriorated memorial or monument, it's always best to avoid any cleaning procedure if you detect cracks, flaking, or erosion that looks loose or grainy. In those cases, experts recommend having the stone evaluated by a professional.

Did you know that, in the early days of gravestones, some were commissioned for people who were still alive as a tribute to their wealth or status?

Although funeral homes and cemeteries sometimes offer headstones and other grave markers, it generally makes more economic sense to purchase a monument from the company who makes it. Otherwise, you will be paying the funeral home or cemetery's markup on the item as well.

In the 1600s, American colonists used sandstone for memorials and headstones. Soft enough to carve easily, sandstone can be quite durable, and hundreds of years later some surviving headstones are in such excellent shape the carver’s tool marks are still visible.

Older cemeteries in large metropolitan areas are often considered public treasures for their historical value. The art, architecture, and plant life in older cemeteries can be quite unique and appealing. In fact, some horticulturists believe there are heirloom rose bushes in some U.S. cemeteries that are more than a century old.
