NIFA is an excellent program. I learned a lot from the course and gained great experience from the suture star workshop. However, I am unable to get a training agreement between NIFA and my HCA facility due to professional liability insurance coverage. I've talked to everyone (supervisor, CNO, human resources) who I think could help me but without success. As a single mom working full time plus call, I don't have extra hours to train to another facility and can't afford 140 hours without pay. Does anybody have a similar expe... read more
The instructors are the best! They are very knowledgeable, patient, engaging and thoroughly enjoy what they do. Great course! I learned so much
I am about to complete the first course. There has been absolutely no support from the team regarding progress or concerns. I feel like this is a program designed to suck money from surgical groups in order to get their new-hires certified. The website and "syllabus" are so vague. I have no idea what I'm supposed to be reading, which suturing I should be practicing for tests that don't correspond to the reading material. I would think a program as expensive as this would be more organized and proactive.
A huge shoutout to Gerry and his team at NIFA for going above and beyond to ensure their students have everything they need to succeed in this program! Gerry and his team exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend NIFA to anyone looking to take that next step in their career. 10 out of 10 from Canada!! Joelle Risi & Paige Bailey
I looked around at different first assist programs and the program NIFA offers was by far my best choice. I learned so much from my classmates and Dean Parsons during the Nov2018 course in Dallas, Texas. I am still in progress of getting my clinical hours, but I feel it was the best choice I have made. Thank you NIFA and the instructors from Dallas 2018 for helping me start a new chapter in my 23year nursing career.
The 6 day suture skills workshop was fun and very educational! Dean and Melanie are awesome! Overall the course was self paced and helped prepare me for the CNOR exam! I highly recommend NIFA! Thank you NIFA Tina
The suture star workshop was amazing! I learned so much and it was at a great pace. Dean was amazing at teaching and made the class super fun!he is a wealth of knowledge! So glad I chose NIFA over some of the other programs I looked into. I actually looked forward to going to class while attending the workshop, it was that interesting and fun. Some really great people
Dean and Melanie were great at suture star workshop. They are very knowledgeable and patient.
