Learned a lot, earth's ice core here in Colorado! Science Rules!
I like the small crushed cubes.
I used to work at the USGS and gave lots of tours along with the ice core science staff for many years. It’s a fabulous place and their people are doing important science work.
Awesome tour, but hard to get scheduled for one. We essentially had to email and request a series of dates - we ended up getting scheduled for a tour nowhere near those dates, but we were grateful that they gave us a tour at all. We absolutely loved learning about this facility, about its background, about why it exists, and we enjoyed our short walk into the freezer! The presenter was great, knowledgeable, and super friendly. I'd absolutely recommend this tour to others.
