Don't plan on seeing this all in one day This is one of the most interesting places I've been to. The Native American artifacts will keep you busy for at least the first visit. And then there are the cowboy and western artifacts. These range from saddles to boots and spurs. Its' amazing. You'll want to go back again and again!

A total surprise This was a total surprise. I was not expecting to enjoy this place as much as I did, and we didn't get to see everything. They have a wonderful area for kids to play and learn, which is great. Everything is well thought out.

Fun for the WHOLE Family Shortly after moving to Oklahoma City, we decided to visit the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. It was very easy to get to and parking is free. The price of admittance is reasonable and small children get in free of course. The grounds have beautiful landscaping and a pathway and benches. We enjoyed the various artwork but our favorite was the enormous statue of a Native American on a horse in the foyer of the museum.

I'd live here if I could I mean it. I love this museum! I'm a fan of art and of the history of the West. When you combine the two you get this wonderful place. The art exhibits are second to none. From Dixon and Fraser to Remington, Russell and Schreyvogel. They have all the big names in Western art. They have a great Native American exhibit as well as a very impressive rodeo hall of fame. Their fine firearms exhibit is one of my favorites. The museum's wide expanses add to the experience and reflect those of the West itself... read more
