I was an independent pharmacy owner and paid membership to NCPA which I thought was an organization to support and lobby for independents. I am sure that 99.9% of its members do not know that NCPA owns Surescripts with the Independents archrival CVS!!! Doctors do not pay for the use of Surescripts they actually GET PAID for each e-script while the pharmacies are charged per e-script!! If NCPA is so pro-independent pharmacy then why are we not getting paid? We are the ones filling the prescriptions and under-reimbursed by NCP... read more
