I would not recommend renting a car from National at the Lynchburg airport. Twice it has taken multiple days before they actually have cars even if you have reservations a week or 2 in advance.
Hands down one of the best National Car Rental places to use. The customer service here is top of the line!
Had to return a perfectly good car because National claimed it had an "issue." Swapped it for a replacement that was objectively worse—bouncing tires and terrible handling. Spent my own time and gas to help them out, only to be given an unsafe car and zero compensation for the trouble. Extremely disappointed in the lack of accountability.
This place is a total joke. Your reservation means nothing. Literally nothing. They will not tell you that there are no cars. you just will show up and there will be nothing there... Why have a reservation system? i have no idea because it gives people a false sense of having something that they in fact do not have.
