I am an Emerald member and have been renting cars in the U.S. for eight years. As a non-U.S. citizen, I am required to hold a "limited-term" driver's license. This license is legally issued by the DMV to non-U.S. citizens who are authorized to live and work in the country. Recently, an agent at ASE rejected my license, stating that National does not accept limited-term licenses. I have never encountered this issue before. Manager provided excellent service. Pick up took leas than five minutes and we had his number in case we experienced problems. We did not. Highly recommend.
