Dr. Avila is known to make his patients wait from what I was told and experienced even if the patient was admitted into the hospital. I understand doctors must make their rounds, but waiting three days for a diagnosis is just unacceptable. When Avila finally showed up, it took all but 5 minutes for his visit. I spoke to other doctors and they too stated 3 days is too long to wait especially if the patient has abdominal pain. Awesome Dr., Awesome knowledge, great bedside caring manner. Takes the time to explain everything. Got me well right away. His Nurse assistant is Awesome too. Always followed up on questions, directions, phone calls
Dr Avila was able to diagnose my mom’s condition and treated her symptoms. She has then been in better health.
Lack of patient care and/ or concern. Refused to speak with me over the phone after my husband and I both had colonoscopies, had a question and was told I HAD to make an appointment, as Dr Avila does NOT speak to patients over the phone. Another $80 copay just to answer a question about services already done? No thank you. This is NOT the kind of professionalism or care I accept from health care! They're are other good doctors who care more about being a physician who cares about people than their bottom line! Highly recomme... read more
Dr.Avila was very informative and took time to answer questions and explain in detail. Had colonoscopy and EDG very caring and excellent experience with hospital and staff. Kudos to all.
