Terribly incompetent. misdiagnosed. and for a quick allergy test/exam, charged over $3000 - absurd! And was WRONG! very upsetting!
I have been a loyal NYU Langone Health. I was seen by an NP supposedly under this doctor’s supervision. After finding out that I could be experiencing internal bleeding I was told he was her direct supervisor. He called me three hours later! This could be a longer post but I’ll keep this short. Spent 40 minutes on the phone with the receptionist making an appointment, giving all of the necessary insurance information. I asked multiple times are you sure they take this insurance? She said yes, booked the appointment, called me back at 6 o’clock tonight to tell me the doctor does not take this ins and my appt tomorrow is canceled. Beyond incompetent, I would suggest taking your healthcare elsewhere.
I can't believe Dr. Horne has bad reviews. I think he's great. I was seeing another doctor and kept sneezing even after a few years treatment. That doctor essentially dismissed my health complaints referring me to an article in the NY Times. Needless to say i switched doctors and Dr. Horne found that i was allergic to something the first doctor missed. Very responsive to MyChart.
I am incredibly disappointed with the unprofessionalism and lack of empathy exhibited by Dr. Horne’s staff. I had an appointment canceled without any reasonable explanation and was subsequently pushed to see a different doctor against my preference. When I expressed dissatisfaction and attempted to schedule with Dr. Horne again, I was informed that I could not do so because I had seen another doctor — once.
