Kind, gentle, caring, and listened to me. I felt so well taken care of and when I said “I know you are so busy.” He said “Take all the time you need, tell me what’s going on.” I appreciated that and we figured out a plan for my care. I am so grateful!
Dr Nicholson is my kind of surgeon. He repeatedly works to avoid surgery. I love how he does everything he can to keep from replacing my knee. Quite a change from the Des Moines surgeon who said replacement was essential over 4 years ago. Dr Nicholson is also great to talk to and makes going to Dr, not something to dread
I told Nathan when he left Ottumwa area I would still have him be my doctor so now I go to Pella! Nathan is very thorough and easy to talk to. And the staff at Pella all seem very nice!
When he walked in with a smile and shook my hand, I had an Iowa shirt on and he said "They are doing pretty good". Then he showed me a picture of my injury and talked about my therapy. He's a good doctor and made me comfortable.
My wife and I had already heard very positive reviews about Dr. Nicholson from more than a few people before she became his patient for knee replacement surgery. My wife's surgery was highly successful. Dr.Nicholson is a warm, humble and highly intelligent person whose intent is to give his "best". His "Best" is at a high level.
