Best decision I’ve ever made was coming to RiverEast. I can’t say enough about the staff and how wonderful they all are. Jackie at the front desk made me feel so comfortable when I first arrived, and continued to do so everyday. Dr. Green is so knowledgeable and friendly. All of the clinicians are amazing. I've been a client of this facility for 6 years. They are my family. Clients AND staff. I cannot count how many times Jackie the office manager or Karen the program director have gone above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. Karen heads the place but she is the most down-to-earth woman. And her caring is not an act. Alison, a clinician, is another superstar. I've always felt I could tell her anything with no judgement. Please be weary of Natchaug and their Rivereast treatment center. I'm surprised they haven't been sued for malpractice at this point. Between ignoring patients who were actively having panic attacks and refusing adolescents to see the doctor so they don't kill themselves, this practice is an unfortunate representation of the current professional mental health field and its innerworkings.
Pill pushers + never let me properly talk in group therapy, they prioritize people with anxiety and drug usage over people actually a danger to thenselves and severely mentally ill. They also diagnosed me with schizophrenia without telling me LMAO? (I do not have it and I told them all my diagnoses multiple times and seen countless people for over a decade prior to treatment here) I had to educate THEM on my diagnoses and they didn't seem to know what they were doing. Don't waste your time.
