Every company has their preferred target audience. I feel that NP doesn't include me in that anymore, which is fine. As a bigger guy, their clothes don't fit even though I'm a true XL. I also fee their aesthetic has departed from the festishy style they launched with and more to urban fashion. I don't know anybody who wears their clothes aside from jocks and underwear. So good for them if they are successful with their vision, but I won't shop there anymore.
I'm honestly a little surprised by this sudden negative backlash against Nasty Pig. Every season, I invariably find a few shirts, shorts, or hats that I love... and, unlike some of the comments I've been reading, I've never had a piece of clothing from NP fall apart or become unwearable. The Chelsea storefront has a fun atmosphere with great customer service, and NP does a lot to bring the community together with parties like Trade, Brut, and in-store get togethers and events. Inclusiveness is necessary & important in this community, and I don't feel Nasty Pig does this to the best of their abilities as I am a bigger dude and barely fit into their XL size stuff. I've always been a fan of the brand, I just wish they understood that there is a big section of the gay community that would like to shop there.
Some of the products are Awesome, but the quality of construction has gone down hill. Price points are still ridiculous for most of their products. Bring back the quality of product, then maybe, people will not have as much of an issue paying for your stuff. At least we would know it wouldn't fall apart.
Always fierce, cutting edge, true NYC style. Always high quality that lasts and doesn't wear out or fade easily. Well worth every penny.
Too trendy, nothing fits real guys with muscle, cost does not match the quality. I have bought a few items over the years, even gone into the NYC store and tried things on, but that's all in the past. Not going to spend my money on products that I feel don't give the bang for the buck. Sorry!
I absolutely love this brand, the men behind the brand and all the amazing people that work for them. Always up to date with new styles and fun color combinations. Visited the flag ship in NY and fell in love with their original shredders, an item you can only get in store or at the vender mart during MAL or IML but totally worth it. I always feel sexy and comfortable in their stuff. And I Alwyas look forward to what's new. 🐻❤🐽
