My mother in law got admitted to ER for head trauma and a forehead laceration. It’s been more than 40 mins and no one has come to check on her. We are out of state unable to be there. We called to speak to a Dr, PA or RN and was told to call back since it’s their change of shifts. We are so terrified that she maybe having an internal brain hemorrhage. Their lack of empathy is unbelievable.

Go somewhere else. I've had nothing but issues with this hospital and haven't been there in years because of it. I went back today for logistical reasons and didn't go to Winthrop or LIJ like I normally would. While the PA and patient advocate were nice and helpful, there were numerous issues/errors. 1. The scripts were only signed off on by the PA and not the doctor. The doctor's name wasn't even listed. This hospital deserves NO STARS WHAT SO EVER I have very bad asthma and they treated me as if I’m just walking in for something that’s nothing I couldn’t breath I was sitting in the lobby barely could speak after being dropped off there because my asthma pump wasn’t working no more I needed a machine and these people left me in the lobby !!!
