Dawn is by far the best speech therapist we have ever had!!! Dawn has been incredible for our daughter and our family. Before starting speech therapy, our daughter wasn't talking at all. Now she's speaking above her age level, and the progress has been amazing. Dawn has gone above and beyond to make our family feel comfortable and has found creative ways to connect with our very spirited toddler. She is compassionate, patient, and truly exceptional at what she does. We couldn't recommend her more highly!
Our daughter had a standing weekly appointment with the same speech therapist for months, at the same scheduled time each week. Because of that, we were shocked by how our most recent appointment was handled. We arrived for our daughter’s scheduled appointment and waited for about 15 minutes before finding out that our time slot had been given to another family. When I first brought my son Aaron to Nassau Speech, he was 5 years old and could barely say 5 words. Dawn worked with Aaron and within 2 months Aaron's vocabulary increased to 30 words. This was 2 years ago. Aaron is now speaking more clearly and forming coherent sentences.
