Amazing This place features amazing sculptures done by amazing people. There are beautiful and even strange sculptures all across this museum. Some of the sculpted furniture is really neat looking, as well as the human forms sculpted out of unique materials. Younger children would probably not appreciate all of the designs, but I still think it is a great place to take the entire family for a cultured weekend.
So much to see and love I absolutely love the Nasher Sculpture Center. I was amazed by Walking to the Sky. It's such an awe-inspiring thing. I especially love how the sculpture shows people off all different races and abilities still making the climb. There is always something new to see here. It's a great place to sketch, meditate or see things from someone else's perspective.
Culture for the entire family. Now that we are parents, my husband and I can still enjoy the Nasher +1 (with our 6 year old daughter). The first Saturdays of April, May and June were spent at the Nasher for the "Together in The Center" event. Admission was free for the whole family. Drop in art was from 10-12:30. Drop in art only takes about 15 minutes (depending on how intense your little artist is). Afterwards, Yoga in the Garden was so nice. Our little girl was the only kid, and she made everyone smile with her dedication... read more
Nasher museum I love going to this museum because the sculptures are amazing. They have all different works of art...some in color and others in black and white. They have a lot of abstract art and also just regular sculptures. They also have a bottom floor and their "backyard" is full of huge works of art. Great place to spend a day and enjoy art. PROS: lots of art CONS:
Outstanding Collection of Contemporary Sculpture Located in the center of the Dallas Arts District, the Nasher Sculpture Center celebrates the visual art of sculpture. The 55,000 square foot facility is home to an outstanding collection of contemporary and modern works. The center also features a 1.5 acre sculpture garden designed by architects Renzo Piano and Peter Walker. Be sure to check out their latest acquisition, "Walking To The Sky" by Jonathan Borofsky. This 100 foot tall sculpture depicts a diversity of people walk... read more
