I met Dr Narotam briefly in the ER and was told I needed a spinal fusion from T12-S1. I was then left in the hospital for 6 days before surgery and only saw him the evening before surgery to talk about consents. By this point I was full of pain medications and barely remember signing consent let alone discussion on the procedure. I never saw him again after surgery. Dr. Narotam caused me an unnecessary hospital admission for over a week. My PCP referred me to him urgently for loss of mobility and after all of the effort to get to my appointment with mobility aids, he wouldn’t even see/examine me in office & had receptionist send me to ER. He left me in the hospital without rounding on me for 2 days. When he did see me, he explained I may need surgery but he needed updated imaging. Initial interview was old school, 45 minutes of review of symptoms and reflexes, then review of MRIs, then treatment plan. No PAs to intermediate, just Dr Narotam to listen, plan, and explain. OUTSTANDING!
Wonderful neurosurgeon! Did a great job on my neck! Now have my left arm back!
