In a time of grief, I have never heard of a funeral home that charges to personally see their loved one for the last time before cremation. Immediate family has always been allowed that right. Embalming should has been charged IF other family members would like to visit the decedent. To tell an immediate family member it's an extra 400 to prepare the body for her to view 1 last time ,is so disgusting to me especially when there were no diseases to the body that couos be harmful to the living. 10 out of 10 would not recommend using this company. At my grandma's request she wanted us use Napiers. My Grandma had no policy to help with any cost so my family had to pay out of pocket for services. Was told for other family members to view her it would cost $400 extra before she was cremated.They let my Grandma sit for a month before they would cremated because the owner wanted all money up front before providing this service.
