It should be a requirement that tax assessment is fair. My property was assessed 40% over-value. I appealed it with detailed reasoning and 5 identical for sale items that showed I was being over-accessed. Not a single response. Not even a denial. Just a demand pay or else. On a separate property tax they straight up had the wrong address and never fixed it. Just the demand that I pay by date. How is this even legal. These people are straight up gangsters.

FAILED the audit.
The head of this department assaulted someone there to conduct business while there were sheriffs present and none of the sheriffs investigated the situation outside of harassing the guy who got assaulted. There’s video of the incident online. One of the most cut and dry incidents of public servants protecting their own instead of enforcing the law.
