Jim and the crew at Western Auto absolutely saved the day for us over Labor Day weekend. We were heading back to El Paso in my ’72 K-20 when the shifter bar snapped and left us stranded just up the road. We stopped in Western Auto hoping for an idea, and Jim immediately jumped in to help. He took the broken shifter into the shop, personally drilled a couple holes so we could bolt it back together, handed it back to us and said, “No charge.” We bolted it back on, it fit perfectly, and we were back on the road! Shit is a joke. Almost killed me. Didn't even see any axis issue. Didn't even do my fluids correctly, was empty on coolant. I asked them to inspect it. Didn't even inspect it. Charged me for the full thing of fluids and shit. If you're going to charge me $160, at least don't risk my life.
I have had an excellent experience working with Napa in Ruidoso. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend them.
