My experiences with Dr Olson were poor enough that when she no-showed at our second appointment and I was WITH NO WARNING seen by a new male OB/GYN i just switched to him. I went to her to talk about a tubal ligation because of my laundry list of medical conditions no child should be 'blessed' with for my first visit, and she essentially told me to shut up and accept my lot in life because no doctor would ever willingly sterilize me, nor would my insurance be willing to cover it. Very sweet personality but as a first time mother I did not have the greatest support and experiences with her. She was always rushing and wouldn't take the time to answer my questions; or would give me very "safe" answers that I could find on the internet myself. I want to believe that she was tired of doing this for so many years but I don't find it fair for those like me who are trying to build trust and feel supported by a professional. It is good that this doctor is retiring! She totally screwed me over. I had 2 tubal ligation consultations with her. One while I was pregnant another after I gave birth. She should have told me that she may be retiring and that I should see a different doctor and schedule a tubal ligation with a different doct instead she has a consultation and schedules my tubabl ligation. Now I'm screwed wairing 2 more months or who knows how long before I can have a tubal ligation.
