DO NOT BOOK HERE. We had to cancel our stay after a friend in our group suffered a serious fall that required emergency surgery made more complicated by a newly classified high-risk pregnancy. We reached out to the hotel multiple times — Wednesday (the day of the fall), Thursday, and twice on Friday — explaining the situation and offering medical documentation. Do NOT book here!!!!!!! We reserved a room to celebrate a special milestone — our babymoon — and spent a significant amount for the experience. Unfortunately, just two days before our stay, a serious accident led to emergency leg surgery and hospitalization and a now high-risk pregnancy, requiring complete non-weight bearing for 6–8 weeks. I stayed at the Chapman House and my room was in the very front. I guess it’s authentic to the Nantucket houses. Very thin walls and their front door was broken so people kept banging on it at night to keep it shut. You can also hear people stomping and walking up and down the stairs. I could hear conversations as I was lying in bed. I did not have any good sleep for the duration of my time on the Island. The employees were nice.
