Called and spoke with one of the Mechanics to see what part needed to be ordered for my car that was taken to the shop yesterday morning (9/18/25) but unfortunately he was extremely condescending and dismissive when asked about the part(s). We like to think that we live in a world of equal opportunity but when it comes to automotive-repair, many women are treated unfairly due to misogynistic attitudes. Automotive repair shops can be threatening places for ladies and Nankee Auto Repair Shop is one of them.
I had a great experience with Ricardo at Nankee. I drove from Arlington, VA to see these guys and I'm glad I did. They gave me a fair cost ahead of time, they ordered the part quickly and got it fixed within a few minutes. Months later, I still haven't had any issues. I'd been struggling to find a fair deal anywhere nearby, the Koons Ford dealership near me said they couldn't find the issue and still tried to charge me an outrageous diagnosis fee. Class act. Honestly I would not think of going anywhere else. They have taken care of my cars for years. Mr. Sam is the man.
This was my first time in the shop and they were absolutely amazing. A friend recommended this shop and they did a thorough check on my car. They fixed a headlamp, changed an air filter, and did an oil change for half of what the dealership would have charged. I totally recommend this place. I found me a new mechanic.
Overall a great service and customer service I got my thermostat replaced and the owner was kind enough to give me some knowledge on my vehicle!!
