Until just recently, I had been a patient of hers for about a decade, going for a yearly examination due to a history of basal cell carcinoma. A year ago, she noticed a red spot near my hairline. It clearly caused some suspicion on her part, since she told me to keep an eye on it. She didn't do a biopsy, or ask me to come back in 3, or 6 months so she could check. A year later, she told me I had a BCC. I had to have extensive surgery up into my scalp. Instead of spreading, it was invasive.
I see Dr. Cunningham for my annual skin exams and she is always so friendly, professional, and thorough. If I have a concern about a potential pre-cancer, she always looks closely at it to determine if it is something to worry about or just something to keep an eye on.
