One of my favorite places to go to relax – I love to go to this Japanese restaurant after a hard day at work. It is a very affordable place to dine. My job is nearby and it is soothing to go to a place where they remember you, what you like to eat and where you like to sit. There is a big fish tank in the back with some of the fattest fish you ever want to see! Both my husband and I have eaten here and we both enjoy it.

Brooklyn Heights' best Japanese restaurant – Owned by Chinese, Nanatori serves fine Japanese cuisine. Busy at lunchtime during the week, the place is relaxed and uncrowded weekends. Choose Saturday for luncheon deals. $9 or so for a bento box lunch of salmon teriyaki that comes with miso soup and tea. Or take the East roll sushi or fabulous eel avocado sushi. Friendly staff, all speak English.

Worst curry dish – Stay the hell away from the curry (Chicken or Beef) dish. I tried both the chicken and beef curry lunch special and they were just terrible! curry was bland and waterly(needs alot more salt), beef texture was like rubber. My 10 yrs old cousin can make better curry than this place. what a disappointment and insult to japanese curry rice dish! doesn't even deserve 1 star. If you really want japanese food in this area, try Iron Chef.. Not great, but it's probly the best in the area..

Love this place – I come here two or three times a month to get my sushi fix. I live in the neighborhood, and love to support the businesses here that deserve to be supported. Food is good, presentation good. Staff is friendly, and the place is clean (well as far as I can tell). I've been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience.

No Thanks. – My partner and I were sat in a dark corner in the back. It was hot, and no airflow at all. We were one of 3 tables, our soup and salad came [ the smallest portion of salad, I mean C'mon! ] and we waited and waited for our food 30 minutes later NOTHING.The waitress said the chef forgot to make it! There went our lunch break, then after waiting a few more minutes I told the waitress we were leaving and she handed me a bill for the soup and salad. I liked eating here years ago but under the new management this plac... read more

One of the best sushi places. – Love this place. They have one of the best sushi in NYC. Prices are ok, which makes this place a great value. Staff is polite and pleasant. Food other than sushi is also very nice. They give wine and orange when you finish with food. Very pleasant place. Located in Brooklyn Heights, which is also a great location. Once we came there often, when the place was almost closed, they let us in and stayed until we finished (with no rush at all).

Sweet potato roll! – Reasonably priced sushi in the Heights. I've had my fair share of sushi, but I had never seen or had a "Sweet Potato Roll" before. While this may be among the least Japanese rolls ever, it was one of the tastiest...I'll be back.

One of the best! – One of the best Japanese restaurant in the area. Great food. Friendly service. During the day, the sushi bar can be backed up a bit (thanks to their unbeatable lunch specials) so order early.
