Sitting in the ER. I understand the priority levels but doesn’t take much time to get off your phone to triage or check-in people. Mismanagement is the problem…at least today.
I thought the property is no smoking as per Island Health. But to get to the main entrance patients and visitors are smoking and you have to walk by them. I had to cover my face with hand, I have heart issues and not supposed to be exposed to second hand smoke. Why are they smoking in that zone where people have to walk by? I dont get it. Also my husband had surgery and the floor nurse told me to get a transport chair in main lobby. He was being discharged after a total hip replacement. I went down and there were none and no... read more
I was admitted for surgery after waiting in emerg for 14 hours running tests, wait times can be insane but the staff were doing their best while being attentive and finding the root cause of my problem and helping many others in the crowded waiting room. Every nurse and doctor I spoke to was so kind and comforting, helping me through intense pain and anxiety I was having. They kept me comfortable in a nice room until I went to surgery. If I could give ZERO stars I would…I went there with my 5 month old at around 7:20a.m on September 21st today. The receptionist was great. We got sent into a room and waited FOUR HOURS, just for the doctor who was sitting in front of us all along laughing it up with his colleagues pretty much the entire morning. The nurse tried putting a cord over my partners face while he was sleeping on the bed while she could’ve just went around the bed in the first place!
