I needed an MRI on my back (constant back/leg pain) but the wait list was shockingly long in our regular system. I decided to get a private one instead as I realized there was something wrong. I booked with Nanaimo MRI and got in much quicker. The MRI found the issue and it turns out I needed immediate surgery, which we all know doesn't happen in BC... so off to California I went and within 9 days I was laying on the surgical table getting fixed. These guys were quick, professional and I'm grateful for their services.
An MRI booked in less than ten days, wow! Extremely efficient from communication, staff and MRI technician. They do exactly what they state , you get a USB of your scan the same day and an email the following day with a report. Very happy with Nanaimo MRI and I would highly reccomend them.
Didn't realize MRI's could be this much fun. The front staff and technician were extremely friendly and professional. I had both my lower back and knee scanned and I had a report back literally the same day. Many questions answered. I would really recommend to anyone to not simply wait for the public system if you don't have to. I am sorry to have to write this review. I have been dealing with chronic hip pain for the last 8 years. I can no longer exercise, go for walks, or do simple house chores - these cause flare ups that pain medications haven't been able to touch. After several denied MRI requests from my family doctor to Comox Valley hospital, I decided to go the private route.
