NAMI is great! Through their meetings we learned about treatment resources for our son, and got troubleshooting help to manage things while he was in psychosis. Eventually, with 5 months of meetings with the Jackson County Mental Health Crisis team, we got him into treatment. And NAMI was there supporting us every step of the way. Great emotional support for parents too in the NAMI 2x/month support groups! And their Family-to-Family class is an intellectual overview of mental health disorders and how to deal with them.

As a parent of a mentally ill family member, i was desperate to learn how to support them. Someone told me about Southern Oregon Nami Family to Family classes. I attended these classes, which were very helpful in their support and education. I then became a teacher of these classes. I was able to not only support my loved one but was able to take care of myself and offer outreach and support to others. Couldnt have done it without NAMI.
