We always stop in for a drink when we're in the area. The architecture and scenery are top notch.
Golf course is well maintained but borders on the unfair. They should consider more serious modifications. Hard to enjoy a golf vacation on such a punitive layout.
This property is stunning and the rooms were clean, but unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by how we were treated. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it, especially with so many better-priced options nearby. At check-in, the front desk agent offered to upgrade our room. We were excited and at no point were we told this would come with an additional charge. A memorable experience at a notable historical location.
A golf course in the middle of the forest, but even the golfers looked dazed and depressed. The Inn at Nakoma is like a mausoleum. Only one soda machine that was out of order. Absolutely nothing, the deadest place on earth. The rooms are nice, but there's nothing else. Isolated and you have to drive to get anywhere or anything. Plus they tack on a hefty daily "resort fee." Extremely bleak and disappointing, like an open air prison.
