I went in for a simple shellac removal. They used improper technique (filing all the way down to the natural nail) rather than the proper technique (soaking in acetone and scraping off). This caused the removal process to be painful due to the heat of the electric file and caused my natural nails to be damaged and weak. I expect a certified nail salon to use correct techniques.
