I mostly agree with previous reviews. The place is very nice, and the staff was friendly and efficient, without being over the top. The big disappointment is the quality of the food for the price. We had the $150/person weekly rate, and the quality was mediocre. The tamago for instance was insipid and tasted like a cheap Entenmann's cake. And like many other reviewers, I was not a fan of the 17% "surcharge". This practice should be banned. I’ve never been a fan of the Kanesaka style, much less how they train a lot of their apprentices. I’m not a huge fan of this place but staff is super nice and I do genuinely hope it sticks around if only so folks stay employed.
