I expected alot more I thought I would treat myselft for a pedicure and haircut. I had to wait 30 minutes for my pedicure appointment- the woman did not say one word to me the whole time, not even an apology. She then made me late for the haircut, which I was not impressed with at all.
Pushy staff I was in desperate need for relaxation so I asked for a gift cert for a facial and massage for Christmas. My parents went ahead and got a gift cert for Mystique (my mom gets massages there). I was very disappointed with my facial. It felt like a dental appointment. I take good care of myself physically but honestly, my skin is NOT the first thing I think of daily. I got lectured on how I need to drink more water, use more moisturizer, exfoliate more often, and have this specialty eye treatment done to lessen my d... read more
Amazing I don't understand any of these rude comments about Mystique. This is my salon and I have NEVER had a bad experience there. The staff is always very nice, they provide their expertise on what service they are providing and always do an excellent job. I have recommended this place to many friends and family all of which have made it their salon and love it just as much as I do. Ask for Tiffany, she's wonderful.
MrsN I treated myself for my birthday this year, and I had a wonderful experience. I had a facial, massage, and pedicure. The massage was very relaxing. The facial and pedicure were wonderful. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. I have recommended this spa to family and frieds.
don't recommend OK, they have a sign in their window that says walk ins welcome, so I walked in. The parking lot was full, so I did figure I would have to wait a while to get my hair done, but that was OK. I walked up to the front desk, and asked if I could get in that day for my hair, and she rudely said that they never can accomidate walk ins, and everyone had to make an appointment. Ok place The people staffing the front desk are very brusque without a reason. Their policy about not letting clients add a tip for their stylist on their debit or credit cards while paying for the service is terrible. It's 2011, do tip outs with your employees or risk losing business. I prefer going to Style Masters in Garden City, which is also an Aveda salon.
Love it I've been going to Mystique for the past ten years for my hair and nail care. I'm always satisfied.. Tiffany is an angel with those sissors and Jill is a master nail tech. not only are they fab at their trade, they are a pleasure to spend time with. Great atmosphere, yummy cookies, awesome service - every time. I moved away from the Dearborn area, but I'll make the drive to Mystique - it's worth it.
Rude staff On a whim, I decided to pamper myself and get a manicure, pedicure and trim. Mystique happened to be the first place I drove by and I took it as a good sign that they have a "walk-ins welcome" sign. However, I was told quite rudely by the girl at the front desk that they weren't taking walk-ins. Disappointed Body Massage My husband surprised me with an hour massage this past weekend. I left very disappointed. The masseuse did not massage my palms (hands), head, scalp, barely touched my feet. She did however take the time to put hot towels on my feet, which was nice. I expected a higher level of service. She even sat on the massage table next to me leaning on my leg when I was turned over. I was very uncomfortable when she did that. This place is over-rated.
