Great idea, poor execution, really rough around the edges. My friends and I did the Melody journey. The first clue was great, pointed us in the right direction and immediately we felt like we were on our way. There was a URL informing us that what we were looking for could be viewed by going to this address if the park was closed. Park was open but an event covered the placard. So we tried the link. 404. It's a great idea to include the link but make sure they work! There seemed to be an issue with multiple phones logging in... read more

Attempted the Canmore smugglers one. Pricey for following an app with poor and unclear clues. We only got through half the sites in about 2 hours before quitting (and we are speedy walkers). Not good for tourists who don’t know the town (some clues definitely required it) or who don’t want detours through residential streets and alleys.

We booked online with Groupon (much cheaper) so we can’t speak for the service. But the Canmore Smuggler’s Blues was great! The two of us took our newborn twins and took about 3 hours to tour around Canmore. The walk was beautiful and easy, and the clues were pretty easy to solve for newbies. We will definitely do it again and try a little bit tougher of a scavenger hunt.
