We scheduled a routine annual physical with Dr. Kwan in September 2025 and were surprised to receive a bill for an additional office visit. Dr. Kwan did not explain upfront during the visit and sneakily billed us instead. This appears to be the same issue mentioned by other reviewers. We called the office multiple times to understand the charge, but no one followed up despite repeated promises that “the manager would call back the next day.” No one ever did. I scheduled a preventive care annual physical exam with Dr. Kwan, and was not experiencing any illness on the day of the appointment. I was therefore surprised to receive charges for an additional office visit.
My family has been using Dr. Kwan at Millennium Health since we moved to Sarasota almost 3 years ago. My initial review was 5 Star, and it saddens me to have to change it. What we learned over time is that Millennium employs deceptive practices to inflate the patient's bill. Each visit with Dr. Kwan revealed the same stale questions ("Are you taking your medications? I scheduled what I expected to be a routine physical with Dr Kwan, only to be surprised with unexpected charges for an additional office visit. While I understand there can be separate billing for non-preventive services, this was not clearly explained upfront. Transparency is important, especially when patients are trying to make informed decisions about their care.
