Dr. Vargas is the sweetest, most compassionate doctor I have met in Nephrology. She sees both my children and myself for a genetic disorder. I really appreciate the time she takes to listen to my questions and explain procedures to me. The last review was about her staff. I disagree whole-heartedly that they deserve three stars. All staff interactions have been above average for a busy, thriving practice.
The dr is nice but the office people and whoever schedules the appointments and does the billing is absolutely terrible. It seems as though the office workers are trained by the drs to be all about is money and greed. The appointments are weeks if not months after you call to schedule for your 1st visit. Things happen in life and sometimes its hard to schedule an appointment 4 weeks afteryou feel better. Then getting charged a $50 reschedule or cancellation fee for calling 40 mins late.
