This is probably the worse Emergency Department I have ever stepped foot in. From the ladies at the front desk to the nurses in the back (most of them, obviously can't say all). They lack the ability to even pretend like they care about you. Instead they treat you like you are interrupting their day. When you ask questions to get clarification, they look at you like you are dumb. I've unfortunately been to a lot of different hospitals and without a doubt this is the worst I've ever experienced . Last time I was forced to go there because the ambulance driver said there was a divergence order from McLaren and My Michigan was the only option . After arriving at the hospital I had to wait 6hrs , and this was after complaining before they even talked to me . My mom was brought to this hospital from the nursing home she resides. We live 2 hours South of here. We got a call from the nursing home saying they were bringing her here for chest pain. We left immediately to head here. We sat for hours. They took Blood work and A chest X-ray before we got there. About 7pm I started feeling funny. I’m a diabetic and my sugar was dropping. My father--in-law had a heart attack Friday night 1/30/26. The reception desk and nursing staff were phenomenal. We could not ask for better treatment from them. Doctor Gregory Zivic on the other hand was unprofessional and seems to hate his career choice. He berated my wife and father-in-law, complaining that we were from the big city, why were we at his hospital when we have so many hospitals to choose from down south. My birthing experience was less than ideal, as a first time mom I expected a lot more support. I felt left to just “figure it out”. I wasn’t coached on how and when to push, I got very minimal education or help attempting to breastfeed which lead me to a lot of pain and trauma- ending my journey early. I received an epidural (this went smoothly) but was never given a catheter…it was over 7.5 hours before they relieved my bladder (having issue now postpartum).
