Terrible experience. Appointment wasn’t with the doctor I booked with. Girl behind the desk warned me the doctor likes to charge as medical and not vision benefits. She said I could have a medical deductible of $300 for my eye exam. Sounds like insurance fraud.
I met with Dr. Delgado at the Monroe St location on 11/12/25. Very personable and more importantly he was thorough. He took the time to answer my questions and explained what he was doing while he was doing it. The lady that helped me pick out my glasses didn’t pressure me into any upsells and very clearly explained what my insurance would cover. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will be back!
I've been going to this eye doctor for years, and they were great. However this last time they made a $700 error that I am stuck with after already paying $440. Essentially they ran insurance I never gave them, along with telling me I was still covered per their system. So, when a $1000 dollar bill came 2 weeks later, I thought it was a simple mistake and could be rectified. While the doctors (Dr. Knuth, Dr. Delgado) are excellent and most of the staff are excellent, the woman who checked me in was abhorrent. I am on state insurance and while I was sitting waiting, the woman was loudly and rudely talking about me, huffing and puffing, and rolling her eyes. There are many reviews that corroborate my experience, specifically as a state insurance holder.
