I’ve been wearing glasses for 25 years and have been to a lot of optometrists in my life. The folks at MyEyeDr in Alexandria are the best I’ve worked with. They’re approachable, efficient, and help you figure out the best options for you and your budget. I had a wonderful experience for my eye exam and my contact lens fitting and look forward to receiving my contacts in the mail. Thank you Alice, Victor, and the front desk staff! You’re all great!
As a Del Ray resident, I figured I’d give this place a try—keep business local. I cannot speak for the optometrists, but as a practice, they are the WORST! They charge more than double than the majority of eye care companies, even wanted an additional $50 to measure PD! Insane! I never received an actual prescription (was told it was emailed….it wasn’t), just a referral to a specialist, who has been implemented for the last 23 years. This location has a new General Manager and his name is Victor. Victor is customer service orientated, extremely personable, and excellent at his job. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with our experience last week.
Needed to pick up contacts today. Upon arriving at approx 12:15pm, I found the door locked and saw someone inside on their smartphone. Finally someone from inside came to the door and said “no doctor today we’re closing early.” Ok but people need to come for things like picking up contacts. Utterly insane someone would decide to close early when posted hours are to close at 6pm. Corporate needs to do a hard look at all their dc area locations—none are serviceable or saveable.
