Im not one to write reviews, but my experience here was truly horrible. This was my first time using them for new lenses and I was told my glasses were thrown away by their cleaning crew. The manager called me stating I could pick any glasses I want even though I signed a waiver. Waiver did NOT say I was responsible if THEY LOST my glasses. I went in to pick any pair and the manager switched up on me saying I could only pick from a *certain selection*, anything else I was responsible for half the cost. It seems all the bad reviews are from people who want a best friend not an eye doctor. I came to them to them with an emergency. They made time for me and took care of the emergency. I don’t know what more you could expect or want.
Made an appt online and when I arrived at Dr Filchak location I had no idea southbury had a second location?.Dr Filchak office was kind and called ahead to the other location on Main Street to let them know I was on my way. Due to my own mistake I was a little late arriving 8:47 for 8:40 appt. As I walked in apologizing for my mistake I was rudely treated by the receptionist. Excellent and friendly staff. HUGE office with lots of selection. Opticians are highly knowledgeable, as well as front desk staff. My insurance was throughly explained to me prior to my appointment. Minimal wait time with even the opportunity to look at some frames before my appointment started. Dr. Strebig is one of the most thorough eye doctors I have been to. This was my first time coming to this location and I will definitely be back and have officially been “won over” by the girls in Southbury.
