Do Not Go Here I went in for my first visit and pair of glasses. They were nice and quick. I got transition lenses so I can read and see far. After 2 weeks my glassess came in. Although they are good to see medium and far distances they are useless for reading. To be able to read I have to bend my neck and only can read one word at at time because the other words bend. VERY HELPFUL STAFF MEMBER. HIGHLY RECOMMEND RECENTLY I PURCHASED A NEW PAIR OF EYEGLASSES AT VISION CITY IN CEDAR HILL. WHEN I WENT TO PICK THEM UP THEY WERE LINED TRIFOCALS. A MISUNDERSTANDING ON MY PART AND THE PERSON WHO SOLD THEM TO ME. ON THE DAY I WENT TO PICK THEM UP A VERY NICE LADY NAMED SANDRA HELPED. Nope My husband spent almost $600 on glasses and an exam. His vision was still blurred so he returned and they adjusted the glasses....still no improvement. I made him go to another optometrist who immediately told him he had cataracts that were apparent with the naked eye. Glasses would be useless and he needed surgery. Were they incompetent or intentionally dishonest? Who knows
Customer Service I have been going to American Vision Centers for years and the customer service I received over the phone was very pleasant and they even accommodated me with moving my appointment up. Now, as far as the service goes in the facility is a different ora. The women at the desk, except for Kim, are not pleasant and very short tempered with clients that come in. Submit your own insurnance claim Overall great service, friendly employees. Seem to struggle with submitting insurance claims. I have gone there for years and more than once they have allow me to under use my benefits. Or just forget to submit the claim. One year my insurance denied me because of an open approval/claim that American Vision had forgotten to submit. After nearly two weeks on the phone. I finally had to go up to American Vision for them to pull my file and discovered that they did not get paid for the services ... read more
